- This is not completely true. "Microsoft" (or what was to become Microsoft)
- invented BASIC. And the first control program for the Altair.
- You are right (partially) about the way they aquire new products. How they
- 'break'others with small changes I don't see. What they do do, is improve
- on a product and work with it, untill it is so loaded with features and
- overall so damned good, it beats competitors to a pulp. Look at Word. There
- isn't a 'processor that could compare to it on market today; Word Pro
- stinks and Corel Wordperfect (that's right, Corel bought it) has a lot of
- catching up to do.
