  22. This is not completely true. "Microsoft" (or what was to become Microsoft) 
  23. invented BASIC. And the first control program for the Altair.
  24. You are right (partially) about the way they aquire new products. How they 
  25. 'break'others with small changes I don't see. What they do do, is improve 
  26. on a product and work with it, untill it is so loaded with features and 
  27. overall so damned good, it beats competitors to a pulp. Look at Word. There 
  28. isn't a 'processor that could compare to it on market today; Word Pro 
  29. stinks and Corel Wordperfect (that's right, Corel bought it) has a lot of 
  30. catching up to do.
